Instant cashback
Customers earn cashback from the rewards fee. From contract version 2 it is paid inside the payment itself.
Every payment funds cashback for the customer from the rewards fee (0.05 % by default, fees.cashback). It costs you nothing: the sale amount reaches you in full.
Two ways it is paid
The settlement contract has two versions in service. cashback_status on each payment says which one applied.

accrued | The cashback was credited to the customer in the contract, for a later claim in the payer app (earlier contract version). total_charged includes the full fees. |
none | No cashback on this payment. |
Which version runs on a network is a ZyloPay deployment decision. Code against cashback_status and total_charged rather than assuming one version.
On the terminal
The POS app shows the cashback the customer earned on its confirmation screen. You do not need to do anything to support cashback.
